ArchiveBot 0 Posted May 27 🌍 Kingdoms The world of Dalam World consists of two continents, Aden and Gracia, which are home to three historically established kingdoms. The Kingdom of Aden was founded by King Raoul, who managed to put an end to a civil war. The Kingdom of Elmore was created on the ruins of the ancient Titan state, where proud orcs and skilled dwarves now reside. The connection with the Kingdom of Gracia, located across the sea to the west of Aden, was severed several decades ago when a civil war broke out there. Since then, no news has come from that land. Although the civil war in Aden has long since ended, its echoes can still be heard in the whispers of taverns, dark alleys, and hidden halls of castles. You begin your journey on the continent of Aden during the most challenging time for the kingdom. Unlike most who prefer to pray to the gods, you have the opportunity not only to change the course of history but even to inscribe a page with your name in it. Whether through great deeds or the struggle for power, you have a chance to succeed. The philosophical idea of the game frees players from being tied to a storyline or character leveling; developing a character to its maximum values is not the ultimate goal of the game. Players can take any meaningful part in the political, economic, and social life of the world of Dalam World. You might even become the king of two continents! The Kingdom of Aden is vast—walking from one end to the other would take several hours, especially if you stick to relatively safe trade routes. However, if a traveler decides to stray from the beaten path to cut through, the journey may end much sooner—various creatures are always lurking, waiting for an unsuspecting traveler to fall into their clutches. Yet, some travelers are not so defenseless, and who knows what lies beneath a cloak and mask. 🧙♂️ Races and Classes In the game, there are five races from which players can choose their character: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, and Dark Elves. Characters of any race, except for dwarves, can be either warriors or mages. Dalam World features a strict class system and a somewhat more flexible subclass system. Initially, after selecting a character's race, players can choose whether their avatar will be a mage or a warrior. Later on, players can choose the further development path of their character, which varies for each race. Warriors rely more on the strength of their weapons and the durability of their armor. Armed with powerful weapons and clad in heavy armor, warriors can easily dispatch several opponents. Battles can occur automatically or under player control, utilizing various special moves. Mages, on the other hand, depend on the power of their spells. With a frail physique and dressed in light woven garments, mages cannot withstand even a few moments in close combat, making spell power, distance to the enemy, and casting speed crucial—sometimes it's better to flee than to try to cast an offensive spell. Mages can also summon various magical creatures. Each race has its own advantages and disadvantages. For example, the dwarf race is the only one capable of crafting items and making money almost out of thin air; however, they lack the ability to cast spells. Only humans do not possess any special abilities, but they have access to the most development paths for their characters. Once a player chooses a character's development path, they cannot deviate from it. Only by creating a new character or completing a special quest available only to very powerful characters can a player change their character's profession. ⚔️ Fight for Survival To achieve anything in Dalam World, players must develop their characters. As a character's level increases, they gain better abilities and can wear superior equipment. The only way to develop a character is by hunting monsters to gain experience and levels. If a character gains experience from killing a monster, they lose that experience upon death and may even lose levels and abilities. Fighting against other characters, or PvP (Player vs. Player), is another interesting aspect of Dalam World for many players. You can not only test your strength against other players but also unite to achieve a specific goal—capturing a castle or even an entire territory. Naturally, other players may interfere. While killing other players is not prohibited, unpunished player killing (PK, uPK) is penalized by in-game methods—PK players may lose their equipment upon death. At a certain point, hunting monsters becomes problematic for solo characters—the game in Dalam World is based on teamwork but does not prohibit players from being lone wolves. Team play is encouraged through a system of additional experience rewards and experience distribution among players. Players in a team (group, party) can see the health levels and status of their teammates, allowing for very effective battles against monsters or other characters. 🏰 Clan Creation Creating a clan is a logical continuation of team play. Only clans have access to certain features that are not available to regular players. Clans can establish their own identities, manage resources, and engage in larger-scale battles for territory and influence. Clan leaders can communicate important information to all members through a dedicated notice board, allowing them to announce upcoming events and organize gatherings without needing to be online all the time. ⚖️ The Three Pillars: Game Systems The political system of the world resembles a feudal system. Even a strong clan cannot rely solely on its own capabilities; it is essential to gain the support of other clans and players, as sometimes the fate of a plan depends on allies. The delegation of powers system allows clan leaders to assign some of their responsibilities to clan members, enabling more efficient and timely management of the clan. The economic system is based on free trade among players. Market prices are dictated by supply and demand—players can earn significant amounts of money simply by buying items at a lower price and selling them at a higher price. Castle owners can earn money from taxes on trade transactions in cities, as well as from harvesting and producing special items from their crops. Share this post Link to post
